With the use of imaging equipment, Images are captured by Nuclear Medicine Technologists to aid the physicians to diagnose disorders and infections.
They need to ensure that ionizing and nonionizing radiation are safely handled, maintain the imaging equipment as well as operate it, detailed records of the procedures are kept, and properly disposing of radiation is observed, and explaining and answering questions of patients regarding the medical procedures that are going to be done for them.

Performs diagnostic and procedures by using CT machine to aid in diagnosing patient’s medical condition. Part of their responsibilities are monitoring patient’s vital signs, collecting information needed for the procedure and evaluating afterwards if patient can do or qualified to have the procedure. They also need to administer contrast materials needed on some of the procedures.
They are required to know how to maintain the CT scanner to help extend the life of the X-ray tubes.
